A cast Ni-Resist adaptor elbow that turns a Garrett GT 5-bolt turbine outlet into a 3" V-band, connecting a V-band downpipe to the MX-5. Top mount or low mount, as the adaptor alone or a complete V-band kit.
Turbine To V-Band
Garrett GT 5-bolt turbos exit on a five-bolt flange, not a V-band. This cast elbow fits the turbine outlet and gives a 3" V-band on the other end, connecting to a Kraken or any 3" V-band downpipe. It carries the bend off the turbine and the welded V-band ring in one cast part, and it is used with the Kraken GT 5-Bolt downpipe.
Cast Ni-Resist
The elbow is cast in Ni-Resist D5S Type II, an austenitic nickel iron made for hot exhaust work. It holds its shape and resists oxidation through the heat cycles a turbine outlet sees. Casting also lets the bend and the flanges take a smooth, gas-tight form. The 3" V-band ring is stainless, welded to the casting.
Top Mount Or Low Mount
The adaptor comes in two forms for the two turbo positions. They are not interchangeable: a low mount adaptor will not fit a top mount turbo, or the other way round. Choose the one that matches your setup.
Adaptor Or Complete Kit
Both mountings come two ways. Take the adaptor on its own if you already have the V-band clamp and hardware, or the kit for the complete joint.

The adaptor is for Garrett GT 5-bolt turbos, where the turbine exits on a five-bolt flange. Match the mounting to your turbo position, then run it into a 3" V-band downpipe.

What does the adaptor do?+
It converts a Garrett GT 5-bolt turbine outlet to a 3" V-band, connecting a V-band downpipe. The cast elbow gives the bend off the turbine and carries the welded V-band ring.
Top mount or low mount?+
There are two versions, and they are not interchangeable. A low mount adaptor will not fit a top mount turbo, or the other way round. Choose the one that matches where your turbo sits.
What is the difference between Adaptor Only and the Kit?+
Adaptor Only is the cast elbow and a gasket. The Kit adds a quick-release V-band clamp and Inconel studs with heat-resistant nuts, to complete the V-band joint.
What is it made from?+
Cast Ni-Resist D5S Type II, an austenitic nickel iron that holds its shape and resists oxidation through repeated heat cycles at the turbine outlet. The V-band ring is stainless, welded to the casting.
Does it include the downpipe?+
No. It is the adaptor between the turbo and a 3" V-band downpipe. It is used with the Kraken GT 5-Bolt downpipe, or any 3" V-band downpipe.
Do I need the Kit, or just the adaptor?+
If you already have a V-band clamp and studs to suit, take the Adaptor Only. If you are starting from the turbine outlet, the Kit gives you the clamp and hardware to complete the joint.
